A Classic Alternative Rock Station

Garrett Hart

Garrett Hart was the mid-day man on XX and was the first DJ to leave the fold when he headed westward to Wisconsin.  He became the program director of WAPL and his station won best small market rock station in the country in Rolling Stone magazine for several years under his helm.  Garrett returned to Pittsburgh in 1997 as the Program Director for WDVE and later Ops. Manager at Channel 97 WRRK.
Garret later programmed two station channels for Sirius Satellite Radio in 2007-2008 and was the liason for live broadcasts from The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland.
Garrett also has played a behind the scenes role in his nephew's band, a little group that got it's first airplay on XX as one of our "dare to be different" bands.  Maybe you've heard of them?  They're called The Clarks!  When Garrett moved to Wisconsin he played The Clarks on his station there also and between Pittsburgh and the midwest, The Clarks reputation grew and grew and they became one of the best known regional rock bands in America.
Today, Garrett is the Creative Content Director for Summit Media in Akron, Ohio
